The Night Before Christmas is a favorite tradition to read/quote every year. With my older children who have heard it many times, we each say a line round-robin style. Sometimes we "trick" each other into "having" to finish the line by saying only part of it and stopping in the middle. You could also use the story as a springboard to discuss other nocturnal animals or the cycle of the moon.
